The Municipal Court is a Court of Limited Jurisdiction. The Municipal Court Judge is authorized by Washington State Statute to preside over the following types of cases; civil and traffic infractions, criminal misdemeanors and gross misdemeanors and civil orders for protection for victims of domestic violence. The Municipal Court schedules arraignments, pre-trial hearings, non-jury and jury trials, sentencing, reviews, etc. The Municipal Court provides related services including legal representation for indigent persons, probation supervision, and public defense screener services to name a few.

Courtroom proceedings are open to the public. Anyone interested in observing court sessions at SeaTac Municipal Court should contact the Court at 206.973.4610 to make sure that Court is in session on the day you would like to visit.
