House Fire

The City of SeaTac is divided into major response zones and is served by the City's three fire stations.  Each zone has a primary station that covers most of the alarms, but multiple stations will be dispatched when needed for greater alarms. Station 45 (headquarters) serves the southern portion of the city and is located at 2929 South 200th Street.  Station 46 serves the center of the City and is located at 3521 South 170th Street.  Station 47 serves the northern portion and is located at 3215 South 152nd Street.

The City is comprised of:

  • Residential areas including houses, numerous apartment complexes, and mobile homes.
  • Light manufacturing and air freight warehouses.
  • Commercial zone of high-rise hotels, motels, and office buildings on International Boulevard. SeaTac has over 5,000 hotel and motel rooms, the highest concentration in Washington state.
  • Seattle-Tacoma International Airport operated by the Port of Seattle is situated in the heart of SeaTac. Airport travel brings in an average of 13,000 visitors daily.  This full-service facility has approximately 25 million passengers arrive and depart each year. This total is expected to reach 31 million per year by the year 2005. We provide mutual aid to the Port of Seattle Fire Department when requested.
Our department also has responsibility for sections of limited access highways and freeways.
  • Interstate 5 - Southbound from South 188th to Kent Des Moines Road. Northbound from South 200th to South Center Mall.
  • State Route 518  - Westbound from the airport to SR 509.  Eastbound from the airport to I-5.
The department has mutual aid agreements with all of the fire departments in King County and some automatic mutual aid agreements with the surrounding districts.  Some of these agencies include:  Tukwila Fire Department, Kent Fire Department, Port of Seattle Fire Department, District 26 (Des Moines), District 11 (North Highline), and District 2 (Burien).
