The City of SeaTac is divided into major response
zones and is served by the City's three fire
stations. Each zone has a primary station that covers most of
the alarms, but multiple stations will be dispatched when needed for greater
alarms. Station 45 (headquarters) serves the southern portion of the city
and is located at 2929 South 200th Street. Station 46 serves the
center of the City and is located at 3521 South 170th Street. Station
47 serves the northern portion and is located at 3215 South 152nd Street.
The City is comprised of:
-
Residential areas including houses, numerous apartment complexes,
and mobile homes.

Light manufacturing and air freight warehouses.
-

on International Boulevard. SeaTac has over 5,000 hotel and motel rooms,
the highest concentration in Washington state.

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport operated by the Port of Seattle
is situated in the heart of SeaTac. Airport travel brings in an average
of 13,000 visitors daily. This full-service facility has approximately
25 million passengers arrive and depart each year. This total is expected
to reach 31 million per year by the year 2005. We provide mutual aid to
the Port of Seattle Fire Department when requested.
Our department also has responsibility
for sections of limited access highways and freeways.
-
Interstate 5 - Southbound from South 188th to Kent Des Moines Road.
Northbound from South 200th to South Center Mall.
-
State Route 518 - Westbound from the airport to SR
509. Eastbound from the airport to I-5.
The department has mutual aid
agreements with all of the fire departments in King County and some automatic
mutual aid agreements with the surrounding districts. Some of these
agencies include: Tukwila Fire Department, Kent Fire Department,
Port of Seattle Fire Department, District 26 (Des Moines), District 11
(North Highline), and District 2 (Burien).
