Work Hours

Normal work week is Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Flexible and compressed work schedules available.

Dress

Business casual.

Compensation

Competitive salary. Annual cost of living increases. 5% merit step raises.

Holidays

Ten paid holidays per year.  One floating holiday upon completion of one year of service and each year thereafter.

Vacation

Twelve days first year. Up to twenty-three days based on years of service.

Sick Leave

Twelve days per year.

401(a)

Social security replacement plan. Employee chooses investment options for employer and employee contributions. 100% vested.

Choice of three Deferred compensation plans. All regular employees eligible to contribute. City matches exempt employees contributions in an amount equal to 40% of the deferred compensation contributions made by the employee, up to 2% of the employee's gross wage.

Retirement

Public employees' retirement system. All regular employees covered by Washington State retirement plans.

Medical

Choice of two medical plans. Low premiums, deductibles and co-pay amounts.

Dental

City funded incentive-based plan with orthodontia for dependent children.

Vision

City funded family plan with low annual deductible.

Insurance

City funded life and accidental death, survivor income life, and long-term disability insurance.
