The City of SeaTac contracts with area service providers to meet the human services needs of its residents.  The funding is made available through 1.5 percent of the City's General Fund budget.  The SeaTac Human Services Advisory Committee identifies the non-profit agencies that can best meet local service needs and makes recommendations to the City Council on funding priorities.  Those priorities are based upon addressing the following needs:

  • Basic needs, such as food and shelter
  • Primary physical, mental and dental care
  • Domestic violence prevention and victim support
  • Information and referral services
  • Services to support independent living
  • Specialized services for refugee and immigrant populations

The City of SeaTac allocates funds for the delivery of human services through a bi-annual application process.  In total, the City contracts with 25 non-profit agencies to provide 32 programs and services.  For information and phone numbers on available services, click here.

The City of SeaTac provides additional programs to meet the needs of our residents.  Please contact the person noted above for information on these programs.
