The City of SeaTac offers a variety of services to residents, businesses and visitors.

The City Council meets weekly to conduct business and consider community concerns.  Responsive police and fire protection, parks and recreation programs for all ages and special events such as hazardous waste recycling benefit the City's residents.  The Municipal Court, located at City Hall, hears traffic and a variety of other cases.  Advisory Committees offer opportunities for citizen involvement and assist the Council in responding to local needs and planning for the future.  Community Assistance programs range from a full-time Domestic Violence Advocate to funding of local groups that provide community support services.

Proximity to the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport brings many visitors to local hotels and conference centers.  The City seeks to enhance the experience of visitors by supporting plans for a City Center that is well-designed and pedestrian friendly.  The SeaTac Economic Partnership (STEP), a forum for cooperation between the City, the local Chamber of Commerce and the Port of Seattle, works together to enhance infrastructure and amenities. The City of SeaTac supports the location of quality new businesses through its economic development coordinator.

The City processes all permits for development within the City limits including construction permits, land use permits and haul permits for heavy trucks using City streets.  While water, sewer, and electric services are provided by utility districts separate from the City, roads and surface water management are handled by the City of SeaTac Public Works Department.  The SeaTac Municipal Code lays out regulations for construction in SeaTac as well as business license requirements for all businesses and contractors operating within the City.
